Personal Thoughts: An Ode to a Star
An ode to you, River Turtle. The star whose shine pierces cloud and thought,
has discovered someone who you've clearly caught
in quite the time of deep reflection,
wondering if there is perhaps some affection
for the way that this man's method is surely madness,
or perhaps just an expression of an unknown sadness.Fret not for the troubles of this lowly one,
whose musings are formed and nearly done
with little a thought of the consequence,
that these words will affect the confidence
of those he dares to call his friends
who may never know of the great fire he tends.Take heart and believe, those few who have read,
that these words are true and not idly said.
"It will always get better," this much is clear,
but the path is foggy and hard to steer
through an obstacle course of things that conspire
to keep this author in his perpetual mire.Understanding is a gift for too few a friend,
who know what it's like to be one that will mend
the feelings and notions of those in the room
even though they assure that, "It will happen, one day soon."
