The Challenges of Moving: Laundry

Ever since I moved significantly closer to NYC, I have run into a few...challenges.Today's challenge is laundry. Though one of the benefits of my new apartment is having washers and dryers in the basement; I have found that this might not be the best way to get the job done. Each load or either wash or dry costs $1.75 in quarters. Which is very unfortunate because my last load tonight came out a bit too damp. I traveled far into my pocket before I resigned myself to one sobering fact. I have no more quarters.So disheartened, I folded my slightly soggy wardrobe and sulked back up to my new abode. Now I shall place each piece of clothing in its predetermined locale, hoping that my apartment is dry enough to steal away the moisture from the bastion of cotton and synthetic fibers.Any good places around to do my laundry?
